Millbrook Power Ltd, a subsidiary business of Watt Power Ltd, wishes to build a gas-fired power station on land located on the Rookery South Pit, near the villages of Stewartby, Millbrook and Marston Moreteyne in Bedfordshire. The power station, if consented and built, would run no more than 1,500 hours a year, providing back-up to other sources of power, including onshore and offshore wind energy generation that is intermittent.
